Ralph is 61!  So, he’s holding a surprise party.   He knows. We know he knows. He knows we know he knows. But don’t let on.

If you happen to see me (Ralph), before the party, please pretend you’re on your way to an urgent appointment like “washing your hair” or “alphabetising your soup cans.”

Do not, under any circumstances, let on that there’s a party—even if I give you my most suspicious look (which is quite suspicious).

The real surprise will be if more than the barmaid and the neighbour’s cat appear. Bring your best poker face, your wildest excuse, and a sense of adventure! Remember:

If anyone asks, you’ve never heard of this party, you don’t know me, and you might just be lost on the way to the post office.
